Strong First Half Pushes Buffaloes to a Win

4/27/24

River Valley Bully's - FC Bartlesville 0:4

Buffaloes traveled to Forth Smith, Arkansas to face the undefeated River Valley Bully's on Saturday evening. The Bully's started their season impressively with 3 wins out of 3 games.

The game started with both teams being calm on the ball and trying to assert their dominance. FC Bartlesville got ahead on the board after a corner kick taken by Perica Obradovic that got converted into a goal by Zlatan Ramic with a header on the front post.

FC Bartlesville scored 2 quick goals with 6 minutes left in the first half. After a great combination on the left side by Andrija Mitkovic and Kirill Pakhomov, Perica Obradovic took a shot that got blocked and deflected onto Luka Milicevic's foot for an easy finish.

Our coach-player Luka Milicevic scored another goal after a left-foot shot to conclude the first half at 3-0 in favor of the Buffaloes.

"We traveled with only 12 players so we knew we had to be smart about our fitness and game management. We were pleased to have scored 3 in the first half which allowed us to save our energy in the second half by allowing the Bully's to have control of the game", said the head coach Luka.

River Valley Bully's came out strong in the second half and had a couple of shots directed at the goalkeeper Iker Gonzalez who didn't allow any to end behind his back.

The fourth and final goal by the Buffaloes was scored after a counter-attack and a great cross by Perica Obradovic who found Zlatan Ramic once again at the edge of the box. Zlatan converted this chance into a goal with a half-volley shot.

FC Bartlesville is home next Sunday, May 5th, when they will host Little Rock Rangers at 3:30 pm at the Custer Stadium!
